Claire Meany
Vice President & Director of Training
Claire is a high-energy facilitator, consultant and coach. She has an extensive business background, having worked in many San Francisco Bay Area companies doing internal organization development consulting. Claire has worked closely with many business leaders, addressing a variety of leadership topics including employee satisfaction, change management, facilitation, team development, conflict resolution and coaching. She holds a BA in Psychology and Sociology and an MA in Human Resource Development from the George Washington University.
Claire’s areas of special interest include assessing organizational culture and helping organizations engage in processes to take steps toward creating preferred places to work. In 1999 she co-authored a chapter in the Linkage Inc’s Best Practices in Organization and Human Resources Development Handbook documenting a focused employee retention initiative utilizing career development, leadership development and team contracts as tools for creating a preferred place of employment in the telecom industry.
Her clients include a wide range of corporate, non profit and government organizations including: Pearson, plc., LEAP Wireless, SWIFT, USDA, Gettysburg College, and The American College of Cardiology, among others.
Claire is an American citizen who has lived in New York, Washington, DC and California. She has travelled extensively in the United States and abroad and enjoys experiencing different cultures. She is a student of Martial Arts and holds the rank of Second Degree black belt and training instructor in Tae Kwon Do. She currently resides in the Washington, DC area.
